OUR MEETING LAST WEEK

We held our Mid-Year Meeting, reviewing the activities and accomplishments of the last six months of our Kiwanis year. 

Treasurer Rick Eldridge did not disappoint! Rick reviewed our finances as well as membership information.  The Report can be found in the Documents Section of Club Runner.  Log in as a member, go to the Organization Tab, and Select Documents.  It is in the Administrative Folder.

Chris Wallace of the Y was a guest. Bob Setzer won the door prize, and Daren Fuller got the chance to draw the Joker in the 50/50 Drawing.  He did not, picking the Ace of Spades instead.  The pot is now $1,570 and growing each week as there are less cards to choose from. 

President Janet thanked the six members who assisted with Special Olympics on April 4. She noted she will be away on a European cruise the next two weeks. 

HEALTH & HAPPINESS

David Foote gave the report.  There was much banter about NC State basketball coming up in the weekend.

OTHER NEWS

Partners In Learning is looking for a few volunteers April 13^th 8:30-12:30 to spend some time with the kids.  Contact Amy Vestal for more information.  We will hold our April 26^th meeting at the PIL site to see their new building and learn more about their expanded program.

Our Club is a sponsor for the Catawba College Football Team Golf Classic May 10 at the Warrior Golf Club in appreciation for the players' help with the Pancake Festival.  We are entitled to have a four-person team in the tournament.  So far, we have three members signed up - Ron Bowers, Cory Kluttz and Kyle Yoder.  We need a 4th!  If interested, contact Bob Setzer. Lunch is offered at 11:30am with tee-off at 1:30pm.

Our own Richard Reinhold was one of the featured speakers and presenters at the recent Rowan Cabarrus YMCA Annual Meeting.
