NO  MEETING THIS WEEK

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, we will not be meeting this Friday, November 29.  Go Christmas shopping instead!

OUR MEETING LAST WEEK

Shari Graham & Hen Henderlite shared insights into the 'Tis the Season Spectacular parade to take place this Wednesday, November 27 beginning at 3:00pm downtown.   There will be 134 entries, with lots of bands, horses, dinosaurs and even bagpipes. The event has expenses of almost $50K annually, but sponsors have been generous in their support. Shari & Hen have coordinated the parade for the past seven years, but will turn over the reins to some younger folks next year. The parade will be carried live on local radio and tv, as well as available on YouTube afterwards.  Following the parade there will be a tree lighting and other festivities at Bell Tower Green.

It was also Endowment Fund Day where we asked members to donate to the principal in our Charitable Endowment Fund.  Rick Eldridge, Club Treasurer, discussed the Endowment and recognized the current eleven Charles W. Armstrong Fellows of the Fund.  As of last Friday, we have received $1,525.00 in new contributions from 15 members.  Members who have not contributed can mail a check to our PO Box 182, or bring a donation to our December 6 meeting.

Amy Vestal's son, Ethan, was a guest.  Bob Setzer won the door prize.   Antonio Cervantes won the chance to draw the Joker in the 50/50 Drawing, but chose the 4 of Clubs instead.  The pot now stands at $475.50.
