OUR MEETING THIS WEEK

We'll be back Friday at noon at the Country Club for a regular weekly luncheon meeting. Our program speaker will be  Jessica Shoemaker Long with Church Creek Farm.  She is a Board Member with Working Lands Trust.

OUR MEETING LAST WEEK

50+ members and guests enjoyed the lake breeze as we held our annual Family Summer Picnic at the Rowan Shrine Club last Saturday. 

The Hot Dog Shack provided hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, cookies and drinks for us.  Kyle Yoder boated over from his home nearby, and hosted after-picnic activities there for interested parties.   Due to the picnic, we did not meet last Friday at the Country Club.

HEALTH & HAPPINESS

Walter Wall has a birthday coming up June 23.  Upcoming anniversaries include James & Corressia Davis on June 21, and Allison & Mark Doby on June 26.

Word is that Janet Haynes is retiring from F & M Bank at the end of this month.  Congratulations on a great career with a great institution.  We understand the "power vacuum" will be immense. 

OTHER NEWS

Valire Copeland, Janet Haynes and Jessica Vess helped with a family event at Partners in Learning on our behalf Friday, June 14.

The Board of Directors will meet on Tuesday, June 18 at 11:00am via Zoom.

Our program speaker on Friday, June 28 will be Dr. Elizabeth Mitcham with the Exceptional Children's Program of Rowan-Salisbury Schools. 

We will not meet on Friday, July 5 due to the Independence Week holiday.
