OUR MEETING THIS WEEK

We'll be back at the Salisbury Country Club Friday at noon for a regular club luncheon meeting. Our program speaker will be Amber Lipscomb (no relation to Erik) on Sovereign Traditions.  Members who were not present last week can pick up their Pancake Festival ticket packets this week.

OUR MEETING LAST WEEK

It was our annual Kiwanis Pancake Festival Kickoff Meeting.  We gathered in the main dining room of the Country Club where we enjoyed a breakfast buffet before receiving ticket packets and learning about using our new online club management program - Club Runner -  to sign up to work at the Festival.  Those in attendance downloaded the CR app on their cellphones and learned about its features that should enhance member engagement.  Those who could not attend received an email with instructions on how to download and use the new app.  Rick Eldridge and Tom McElveen are available to assist members with any questions or issues with using CR.

Our new website address is https://kiwanisclubofsalisburync.org  Go there or use your phone app to sign up to work at the Pancake Festival.

Photographs of the items that have been donated for the Silent Auction to benefit the Administrative Account were on display, but we're not getting many bids.  Be sure to check out these items each week and enter a bid.  Bids will be taken each week through the March 1 meeting.

Jerry Lawson won the door prize. Bob Setzer won the chance again to draw the Joker in the 50/50 drawing but chose the 4 of Diamonds. The pot has now grown to $1,101.

HEALTH & HAPPINESS

There are no birthdays or anniversaries this week, but be sure to remember Valentine's Day!

A moment of silence was held at our meeting last Friday in remembrance of fellow member Cheryl Peevy who died on February 3.  The family has decided to hold a memorial service at a later date.  We will provide details to the membership as they become available.
