OUR MEETING LAST WEEK
Our program featured Mollie Ruf, Chairperson of the Rowan Young Professionals since 2019. She received the inaugural Young Professional of the Year award in 2023, is the current Marketing & Communications Manager at the Rowan EDC and serves on the Rowan Chamber board for the Terrie Hess Child Advocacy Center. Mollie gave an overview of the Rowan County’s Young Professionals Group that currently has over 900 Facebook followers, attracts between 40-50 participants to each of their 50 events throughout the year. The Program is free and available to young people between ages 21 to 45. The meetings are networking and social activities designed to create positive experiences in order to encourage young people to establish themselves in Rowan County. We will be ushering this Saturday for the Piedmont Players presentation of Sweeny Todd this Saturday where our own Wendy Wendt with be performing.

Wendy Wendt won the door prize and Charisse Peeler won the chance to draw the joker in the 50/50 drawing but drew the King of Diamonds. The pot currently stands at $352.

We had no anniversaries to celebrate this week, but John Hudson will be celebrating his birthday July 24th.
Congratulations to Bob Setzer who was inducted into the 2024 Catawba College Hall of Fame for Athletics Development.
Congratulations to our local Vance Honeycutt who was picked to play for Baltimore.
