Its time for Little League Baseball! Last week, our Kiwanis Team began playing in the regular season of Rowan County Little League Baseball at Salisbury Community Park. On Kiwanis game nights, our Club is asked to provide volunteers for the concession stand from 5:30pm-7:30pm. A sign-up sheet was passed around at the meeting last week to solicit members willing to help. There are still days and slots available which can be found on Club Runner. Go to your phone app, select Events, then Little League Concession Stand & Volunteer Signup. From there choose your date and select your name. 3-4 members are needed each of the remaining game nights.
Our Club is a sponsor for the Catawba College Football Team Golf Classic May 10 at the Warrior Golf Club in appreciation for the players' help with the Pancake Festival. We are entitled to have a four-person team in the tournament. So far, we have two members signed up - Ron Bowers and Kyle Yoder. We need two more! If interested, contact Kyle. Lunch is offered at 11:30am with tee-off at 1:30pm.
