OUR MEETING THIS WEEK
We'll be back at the Salisbury Country Club Friday at noon for our first luncheon meeting of 2025. Start the new calendar year off right by being in attendance. Our program will be given by Amy Cesak from Dan Nicholas Park.
NO MEETINGS LAST TWO WEEKS
Due to the Christmas and New Year's holidays, we did not meet on December 27 or January 3. We hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday.
HEALTH & HAPPINESS
There are no member birthdays or anniversaries this week.
It is sad to report that Kiwanian, Harold Caudill, passed away on January 5. Harold was a loyal member of our club for 46 years. He was the former Executive Director of the Rowan Cooperative Extension Service.
OTHER NEWS
Thanks to all who contributed to our Endowment Fund Campaign. We had 25 donors contributing a total of $5,000 to enlarge the principal in the Fund. The balance in the Endowment Fund has now grown to $73,203. We realized a dividend of $2,162 for the last quarter year (October-December).
Letters to last year's Pancake Festival sponsors went out January 2 advising them of our 2025 dates and inviting them to be a sponsor again. Included in the letter was a 2025 Sponsorship Form. Members will be following up with them over the coming weeks. We will need some additional sponsors this year to make up for the loss of FOR funds we have been receiving in the past, so members are asked to help identify and secure these. At our January 10 meeting we will have sponsor forms available as well as a list of who is contacting former sponsors. Look also for an email containing this information.
