OUR MEETING THIS WEEK

We'll be back at the Salisbury Country Club at noon on Friday for a regular weekly luncheon meeting. Our program speaker will be Livingstone College President Dr. Anthony Davis.
OUR MEETING LAST WEEK

Lorie Aldridge, Director of Sales & Marketing for Trinity Oaks Retirement Community, was our program speaker. Lori detailed how TO is a Continuing Care Retirement Community and part of Lutheran Services of the Carolinas. Being a part of a faith-based non-profit, TO strives to provide a welcoming, family atmosphere. With 125 apartments and 42 cottages, residents enjoy daily dining, a fitness center, pool, bank, library, chapel, and planned activities. 24/7 security, maintenance & repair services, and lawn care are provided. Residents initially "buy-in," and then pay a monthly fee for services. Pet-friendly, there is a one-year waiting list for cottages, and a two-year wait for apartments. Plans call for the construction of some additional "villas" in the near future in order to increase capacity.
Erica Taylor presided in the absence of President Erik who was at the beach with his family and grandparents Bob & Pam. Guests included prospective members Katelin Rice of Partners in Learning; and BJ Kader. Kyle Yoder & Amy Vestal also brought their sons along.
Rick Eldridge won the door prize, and Richard Reinholz won the chance to draw the Joker in the 50/50, but did not. The pot now stands at $214.00.
HEALTH & HAPPINESS

Walt Wall gave a "lame" H & H Report by all accounts. Missing from his report was his own birthday on June 23, as well as anniversaries for James & Corressia Davis on June 21, and Allison & Mark Doby on June 26.
Walt also failed to mention that Charisse Peeler is on a trip to Norway.
