We'll be back at the Country Club Friday at noon for a regular Club luncheon meeting. Our program will feature our own Janet Haynes who will lead us in a round of Trivia. Bring your thinking caps and a guest.
OUR MEETING LAST WEEK
We did not have a meeting last Friday to observe Labor Day which became an official federal holiday in 1894 to recognize the American labor movement and has also become the official end of summer.

Bryant Norman has a birthday on Sept 4th and there are no anniversaries this week.
OTHER NEWS
On September 13th, Holly Teeter will be leading us in a Meals On Wheels service project. We will be building breakfast bags for those in our community who are housebound.
On October 11th, Jim Duncan will lead us in a service project for Project Light. We will have a box for the next few weeks to gather any Rem hotel size toiletries or unopened toothbrushes, toothpaste you have around the house.
Main Street Marketplace & Meeting Place is hosting author Dr. Seth Kaplan for an inspiring discussion on his book, "Fragile Neighborhoods” September 19th at 4pm at the Hood Theological Seminary, 1810 Lutheran Synod Dr. Salisbury, NC
The Annual End-of-Year Banquet will be held on Friday, September 27 at 6:00pm at The Villa Franca, the site of last year's event. We will celebrate the success of the past Kiwanis year and introduce the leadership to take over October 1. Please register your, and any guests, attendance using Club Runner or RSVP to Janet or Melissa.
